Question 411: In the second verse of chapter eighty-first, the Quran says that on the Day of Resurrection, the stars will get murky. Vi know that there are billions of stars, and they are at different distances from us. Their lights do not reach us at the same time. What can happen to them, so that they get murky at the same time?

Answer: It does not necessarily mean that something will happen to the stars. As solar eclipse, does not necessarily mean that something happen to the sun. When the moon comes between our eyes and the sun, we can not see the sun. We call it the solar eclipse, while nothing happens to the sun.

Resurrection event occurs within the solar system. Events that occur in the solar system cause them not be seen clearly. In this website, in Doomsday part, we have talked about some events that occur on Doomsday.
